Wedding Rings in the bowl for Soy Sauce
Photographing wedding rings is a bit of a challenge – and who doesn’t like a challenge. Most jewelry is photographed in light boxes to minimize reflections – and at a wedding there is no way to do that – but who wants bland and boring jewelry photography?
The goal of photographing the wedding rings is to capture them in the wedding element. I want to photograph them in something that is unique to the wedding. Maybe photographed near or on the wedding cake. Maybe photograph them on the flower arrangements. Or in the case of this photograph – in a bowl for the soy sauce.
The bride is from Alabama. The groom’s family is from Vietnam. It was a marriage of cultures and this is a photograph that is simple but captures that unique culture.
