MacKenzie & Stan’s South Jordan WeddingTuesday, November 23rd, 2010

MacKenzie and Stan were married at Pioneer Hall in South Jordan – near the Gardner’s Village. And I was fortunate to be their wedding photographer. I had been looking forward to their wedding all summer and had a great time photographing their engagement photography and MacKenzie’s bridal photography.

The wedding and reception were broken up into two parts. The wedding ceremony along with wedding dinner were held at the beginning of the week and then the reception was held at the South Jordan swimming pool. The swimming pool was to encourage everyone to just relax and have fun during the reception.

There were Christmas style lights at the front of the Pioneer Hall and that really helped create a beautiful background for a number of photographs – the flower girl and the ring bearers just look adorable in this photograph.

The cake cutting turned into an EPIC cake smash where both the bride and the groom got a face full of cake. Good thing there was a swimming pool nearby and showers available to clean up. There was cake everywhere!

While I was in Disneyland I picked up a wedding themed Minnie Mouse ears as a gift as as something to wear for one of the photographs – really cute photo.

I really expected more damage to the car – but this works just fine. You don’t want to render the car undrivable – they have to get to the honeymoon!

Just married!

MacKenzie’s Bridals in Memory Grove, UtahTuesday, August 10th, 2010

Sometimes it is just torture to sit on some photographs and keep them a secret. I have been waiting to share these bridal photographs of MacKenzie for about 2 months. She wanted to be traditional and keep the wedding dress a secret till the wedding day.

For her bridals we went to Memory Grove and we had some wonderful natural light to work with and I have to have some of my own softbox and lighting to help the light look perfect. I am writing this blog post before I head out to photograph MacKenzie & Stan’s wedding this afternoon. I am very excited! Woo hoo!

MacKenzie & Stan’s Engagement PhotosMonday, June 28th, 2010

Engagement photographs are very important. Yes, they let you advertise to your friends, family, and co-workers that you are indeed getting married and that they better buy you something nice for a wedding gift. However, as a photographer it is important so I can get to know you before your special day.

Engagement photographs act as an ice breaker. They also help you relax in front of the camera and I can learn the dynamic between the fiancees.

I am excited to show off the photos from MacKenzie and Stan. We started off in the International Peace Garden and then hurried over to the Saltair area near the Great Salt Lake. I hope you folks enjoy the photos! I can’t wait till August when they get married.
