Dilemma – iPad 2 or a 27 inch iMacFriday, March 4th, 2011
It is no secret that I am a Apple fan boy – I love Apple products and I have bought a ton of them. Do they make me a better photographer? You better believe it – cause I can spend my time photographing and editing photographs and not fixing a Windows computer and removing viruses. 
Well, there is now a dilemma – Apple announced their new iPad 2. It is thinner, faster, shinier and more cool than the old iPad. I have an iPad, and I describe it as totally useless but totally cool. I have found it is a great way to show my photography portfolio to potential clients, I use it in meetings, Angry Birds, and casual web surfing. Do I need the new one? No. Do I want one? Yes.
However, I think I want to wait and buy a new iMac instead. I’m saving up some dinero (money) and will buy a new iMac when Apple refreshes the lineup.
iPad 2 or a 27 inch iMac
My current iMac is almost 2 years old and works great – it feels a little slower these days. What pushed me over the edge? At work I use a Windows computer (sad face) and I was given a larger monitor – 27 inches!! The monitor is huge and is the same size as the iMac 27″ – and I think I would be faster and more productive with a 27″ display rather than my 24″ iMac display.
Well, if Spring is nice and busy in the way of photography – and if I get a decent tax refund maybe I will get an iPad 2 and I will get a new iMac – maybe by then they will have a 30″ iMac. Mmmmmm.
