I am sure most people would agree – fortune cookies should have fortunes in them – not advice. I was a bit disappointed with the advice only fortune cookie from lunch today. I wanted to know if I was going to be rich, or have a car accident or something exciting. Nope, it just says a bargain is only a bargain if you can use the product. Which is very true. There are so many coupons and savings for things I will never use – and so I don’t buy them. I don’t need a year supply of Depends, yet.

It also had me thinking about discounts and sales in general. My dad and mom are pretty frugal people. My dad loves a good sale and sometimes will buy things he may not need just cause it was on sale. Well, it becomes useful when he gives it away as Christmas presents. Anyone else ever get duct tape for Christmas? Show of hands?
And I won’t be waking up at 2am to go save money on Black Friday sales – I value my sleep. And I don’t want to deal with the crowds who are willing to wake up at 2am – they are crazy! I have seen them on YouTube.
