I Love Backblaze.com

Sometimes good things take a while – and sometimes you need to get started early so things are done in a reasonable amount of time. But I’m not going to talk about dieting and weightloss today. Nope, yesterday, after several months of uploading my system is entirely backed up to Backblaze.com!

It took a while because I have 2.5 terabytes backed up to Backblaze. A good chunk of that are my photographs, wedding album designs, and other related documents. It does also include my iTunes library which is significant.

A few days ago I blogged about how I have a backup system when I am traveling for weddings and photo shoots. Well, I have another system for when I am at home. And just in case a meteor wipes out my house or fire destroys everything or a burgler breaks in I have Backblaze.com as my offsite backup.

So your wedding photographs are safe and sound and hopefully I will never have to restore lost data due to a harddrive failure. It does give peace of mind to know it is backed up!

And you should be backing up your computer, laptop or phone as well! I had a cousin-in-law call me up wondering how he could recover photographs from his laptop.
