Looking at ShootQwritten by dav.d

Who knew that running a successful photography business required running a business? There is so much going on at dav.d wedding photography and it is exciting and it also means I have a To-Do list a mile long. Last week I switched business checking accounts, I began using Quickbooks instead of shoe box accounting, shopping for Merchant Services so I can more readily accept credit cards, and finally I am going to be signing up with ShootQ to help manage my studio.

Up till now I have photographed with pretty much nothing more than a handshake and a verbal agreement. Occasionally I would write up a contract and then send an invoice via PayPal Business. Keeping track of all this stuff can easily get out of hand – so I am simplifying things and going to have ShootQ help manage this.

Hopefully this will be set up in less than a month – paperwork is always fun. I even have to order checks so I can provide a voided check to get some of these services activated. Lots of set up now so it should be smooth and easy down the road for me and my clients. Woo hoo!
