I never really thought I would be a business owner. And today I renewed my business license – there are so many little fees that just pop up over the course of the year.

For the next month I will be getting all paperwork in order so I can file my taxes for 2009. For the new year – 2010 – I will be doing better and will be going electronic in my paperwork – this weekend is going to be the weekend to learn Quickbooks. No more shoebox accounting for me.

And I am crossing my fingers that I will get a large enough tax refund that I can afford a new camera lens. I just have to put up with the headache of paperwork and accountant fees. No wonder winter can be such depressing time of year.

The good news is it will be done and out of the way just in time for spring – the best time of the year!
