Christmas Angel through the eye of a Lensbabywritten by dav.d

I have to keep on my game – I have to keep practicing and practicing. Especially when I am trying to master such tools as a Lensbaby. A Lensbaby is a creative lens that lets me create some really cool and artistic shots when done properly. It takes practice and when done right helps me create something like this Christmas Angel with stars. This is what the photograph looked like right out of the camera.

I used a star shaped aperture ring to create this special effect. The rest of the challenge is lighting the angel properly with flash and manually adjusting the focus. I need to practice this so I can create this effect at weddings. I think it can be a lot of fun – when done properly and not overly done and run into the ground.
