First Roll of Film Developed! A few images…

I received my first roll of film back from the photo lab! From what I can tell I did a good job capturing the photographs – the prints look fantastic. The digital scans that the lab created were a little brighter than I would have expected. So I am not sure what the difference would be. I don’t know if they scan the film negatives or if they scanned something else. In either case I might have to try another film lab so I can find the best results. It also cost about $20 for the film to be developed, printed, and scanned. So film photography is obviously expensive – at least the development is expensive.

However, it is still a lot of fun – and I do enjoy the process of photographing with film. Eventually I will figure it all out – and I will still be a primarily digital photographer. Maybe I will end up shooting a roll a month – maybe two rolls a month. I’ll have to budget my development costs.

I also dropped off another roll of film to the photo lab – I will see how that turns out tomorrow. It is exciting to drop off the film and then wait. The next roll of film is only black and white. So crossing my fingers that it will turn out right.
