Christmas Wish Listwritten by dav.d
Ever since I was little I had a Christmas list. I should call it a Christmas Wish List – because it is more wish than list. I don’t even know if that makes sense – but it does in my head 
As a kid my list would be dominated by toys – and I don’t think that has changed much. Toys of my childhood would be Star Wars action figures and lightsabers – I was a real Star Wars nerd. Today’s toys tend to be more camera and technology related. There is the occasional movie or clothing but photography is where it is at! And I don’t know if I fully subscribe to Oprah’s idea of putting it out there and the universe will provide (a la the Secret) but maybe it will happen.
So here are some of the things on my long Christmas list:
- Nikon D700 camera body (yeah I know my Nikon D300 works just fine – but still)
- Nikon D3s (having several camera bodies is always a good idea)
- Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens
- Canon 50mm f/1.2 lens (yes, Canon has some sweet sweet lenses)
- Canon 85mm f/1.2 lens
- Canon 5D Mark 2
- Nik Software Viveza 2
- Simpsons Season 12 on DVD
- South Park Season 12 on DVD
So, chances are Santa Claus won’t be dropping off lots and lots of shiny packages – he will be busy with robotic hamsters, blu-ray players and other toys for all the rest of the little boys and girls of the world. Maybe I can ask him for a great new year for photography!
