Christmas is always a favorite time of year – there is always a feeling in the air of anticipation. I remember as a young kid anticipating a white Christmas with Santa Claus bringing something cool. And hot chocolate, Christmas carols, red and green decorations. It is a magical time.

And of course I am my family’s photographer/documentarian. I love to capture the details of the holiday season. Here is a photograph I took using a Lensbaby – a Lensbaby is a special effect type of lens. If you look at the lights and highlights they are shaped like stars. It is a lot of fun as a creative toy. And who doesn’t like creative exploration? I will have to try this lens at a wedding soon.
