Behind the Scenes of a Bridal Photo Shoot

A large softbox helps to illuminate the bride

I love to show the behind the scenes of my photography. I don’t believe in secrets when it comes to photography. Photography improves when more people know the “magic” behind great photos.

And one of the most important things about photography? Light. Light is the language of photography. People will talk about natural light photography, flash photography, artificial light and more. I love to find great light and make it better.

One thing that sets me apart is that for an on location photo shoot I will bring out a softbox or an umbrella or the speedlights. Different light for different needs. And the above photo shows the bride with the sun to camera right and the softbox on camera left.

That battery is 20lbs but it is worth it for the great photos I can create.
