Bridal photograph edited by dav.d in the competition
I won a photo editing show down competition! Last week we had a meetup at Pictureline in Draper, Utah. We had 8 photographers armed with laptops, photoshop, lightroom, mice, and other digital tools. And we were given the same 28 images and 30 minutes to create some digital art. And we all rocked it.
We each had different strategies. And everyone claimed victory for at least one or two photos. I claimed 9 photographs as part of my overall victory. My strategy? Do some basic edits to all 28 photographs and then select about 8 or more photographs that I could customize and edit in photoshop.

So next month I will defend my crown – talk about pressure. It was eye opening this month and next month will be another learning experience. And it was cool to see the different techniques and approaches each person used. That is one reason it shows it is not the camera that makes the photographer.
We could all have the same camera – and we would all be unique.
And in these three photos you can see the before on the left and the after on the right.
